Designators of PIO:

It is an automatic pirn winding machine used in Powerloom industry for pirn winding. This pirn provides weft in the cloth during the weaving process and runs along with its vehicle called a shuttle. This machine automatically stops when the pirn is fully filled as per the requirement.

A lady weaver seen in the picture is a trainee worker on Powerloom, weaving the cloth. This lady has joined training on 15th September, 2014 and presently she is trained to weave the cloth independently. In due course she will be trained to handle two looms at a time. After which she will be able to weave approximately 350 meters.. of cloth per month. This will help her to earn approximately Rs. 5,000/-.per month.

A boy weaver seen in the picture is dumb and deaf. He is a piece rate worker who was trained in the year 2000. Since then he is working as piece-rate worker and weaving approximately 700 mtrs of cloth per month on two looms. As per Govt. approval he is earning approximately Rs. 5,000/- per month. The cloth produced at this unit is shirting material. It is processed from processing mills from Ichalkaranji in the State of Maharashtra. After processing, it is supplied to various Government Departments/undertaking as uniform material. In this trade training has pertained to the interested candidates and a stipend of Rs. 1,000/-per month to general & OBC and Rs. 1,500/- per month to SC/ST candidates is paid. The training period duration of 6 months for a full working day after completion of the course The trade Excellency Certificate is issued by the Department.
