The items seen in the picture are of Pottery, displayed at the manufacturing unit in Bicholim for its sale. These items have good demand in the local market which helps the artisans to earn their livelihood. At this centre, Pottery training is also imparted for six months duration.
In this trade, training has pertained to the interested candidates and a stipend of Rs. 1,000/- per month to general & OBC and Rs. 1,500/- per month to SC/ST candidates is paid. The training period duration of 4 months for the full working day after completion of the course the Trade Excellency Certificate is issued by the Department.
