Designators of PIO:
Handloom seen in the picture is a frame loom with four heald shafts and four trades. It is used to weave bed sheets, towels, plain cloth and plain sarees. This loom is situated in Handloom Training centre, Mandrem, Pernem – Goa.
The instrument seen in the picture is a charkha with swift, on which yarn in hank form is placed over and wound on bobbin or pirn for its further use on handloom for weaving the cloth
